We have designed these policies in order to give you the best possible membership experience, and to allow us to efficiently and effectively administer all of your memberships with our awesome staff! We think these policies are fair, and help to provide the best results and experience for every one of our members.
Fort Miami CrossFit is a coaching facility and all classes require pre-registration. Safety, proper technique and intensity are the cornerstones of our coaching. Therefore, each class is limited to 16 members. If you do not pre-register we cannot guarantee a spot will be available. If you show up unregistered and the class is full, you will not be admitted into class. We reserve the right to cancel any class that does not have anyone scheduled.
Class Cancellation/Missed Class/No Show
Due to the limited number spots available in each class, we kindly ask that you observe our cancellation policy. If you miss/no show your session or cancel with less than 1 hours notice, you will lose your session. If you must schedule a session less than 1 hours before your class, FMCF cannot guarantee the availability of any other training times.
In addition there is a 3 strikes policy. If you are continuously missing classes and not canceling out before the 1 hour window, you will be charged $25 on every 3rd class you do cancel yourself out of. By giving last minute notice or no notice at all, you prevent someone else from being able to schedule into that time slot or be added from the wait list.
You may switch around your classes as you see fit as long as there is room in that class. Once a class has reached its capacity, you will no longer be able to enroll yourself in that class; however, you may put yourself on the wait list. If another athlete drops you will be notified of your acceptance into that class.
Class Expiration Policy
All CrossFit classes expire at the end of each 30 day billing period. Unused classes do not carry over into the next cycle.
Classes start at the same time every day. We kindly ask that you show up on time for your class ready to workout. Please plan accordingly to arrive on time. Our Tardy to the Party, 5 burpees for every minute late, is a great little incentive to get you to the gym on time! For safety reasons, if you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will not be permitted into class.
Auto Pay/Membership Cancellation
All CrossFit memberships are on auto-pay, unless agreed upon with FMCF. Auto pay requires adherence to the membership cancellation policy. Your card on file will be charged on the 1st day of the month/billing cycle, unless otherwise agreed upon with FMCF. Cards should be kept up to date on your enrollment profile. Once a payment has been issued to your CC, it will not be refunded.
Canceling your membership contract, prior to the expiration, will result in a 1 month cancellation fee. The cancellation fee is equivalent to your monthly rate. If you had a membership promotion or special, you will be charged a 1 month cancellation fee + membership discount difference. All membership cancellations (contracts and month-to-month, require a 2 week written notice).
All memberships can be placed on hold once per calendar year for up to 90 days. You will not lose out on the time you place your membership on hold. Your billing cycle and future invoices will be shifted forward the length of that hold. Written, advanced notice (email firstname.lastname@example.org ) is required to place any membership on hold. Holds are not retroactive.
All CrossFit memberships can be upgraded at any time during your program. When you choose to upgrade (2x week to 3x or 3x week to unlimited), you’ll upgrade into a new contract.
We absolutely do not give refunds if you do not use your membership.
Only one (1) discount can be applied to a person.
We invite guests whether with a member or as walk-in visitor to the gym. We may restrict overall or individual guest privileges. Please contact the gym to make arrangements at (269) 408-3055.
We love kids here at FMCF and think it’s important for them to see their parents leading active, healthy lives. However, we also want to keep kids and everyone else in our gym safe. This is why we ask that when kids are in the gym parents make sure they stay in the lobby area and off of the training floor. If you are to bring your kids please make sure they are mindful and respectful of the gym and classes going on. Please no horseplay or throwing of balls in the lobby. We just can’t run the risk of having your kids or our athletes getting hurt.
Arrive early and stay late. Cheer, clap, and encourage others. Anything less is to cheat yourself of the experience, and to rob others of the gift of your presence and support as part of the community. If you sign up for a class, please keep in mind it is a one-hour commitment.
Introduce yourself. There is no better feeling than entering a CrossFit gym and having existing members introduce themselves. Please introduce yourself to any new athlete and new athletes introduce yourselves to our members. Fort Miami CrossFit is more than just a gym. It’s a community.
Negativity will not be tolerated. This is a facility of awesomeness. This is a drama free zone – period. Be optimistic, have fun and push yourself and those around you to do better.
Treat Equipment with respect… use it heavy and hard, but don’t abuse it. Please do not throw or drop dumbbells, kettlebells or empty barbells.
FMCF cannot be held responsible for the loss or theft of personal items left during training.
During periods of rain or snow we ask that you bring a change of sneakers for your workout. This will assure you a safe and clean training environment.
FMCF will be closed (or have a limited training schedule) on all of the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
