Why did you decide to start at FMCF?
It was finally the right time for ME! Raised 4 kids & they were out of the house. Took care of last living parent...now it was time to start to take care of ME.
What are some of your biggest CrossFit accomplishments?
After 2 years I can successfully do a lunge ( while still hard for me) I can actually get up :) I’m proud to have done 2 Opens!!
What do you hope to achieve in the next year? Hope to keep gaining strength & not losing it! My goal is to keep improving my functional fitness.
What are some of the lifestyle changes you have made since starting at FMCF? Making my 6:30 workouts a priority! Gave up pop in boot camp.
What advice do you have for someone who is nervous about starting at FMCF?
Come join us! FMCF is truly a wonderful place to be. The coaches are awesome! It’s a group but it also is individual attention. They get to know YOU, so they know when to push, when to encourage. There are SO MANY movements that I can’t do, but the coaches know how to break it down so I too can be successful at my level. Classes are competitive while at same time very very encouraging! Thankful that everything can be scaled. No excuses not to work out. It is a very positive place to be, it’s a special place to belong. Kip & Kelly have created a wonderful caring atmosphere.
What is your favorite CrossFit movement? Burpees I LOVE BURPEES!
What is your favorite workout song? Favorite song has to be any that Vicki sings along! I love that! I hardly ever know any of the songs, even when they play the ‘oldies’ they just don’t go back far enough...
Do you have any pre-wod rituals? Use bathroom before leaving home, use it when get to the gym, use it again before serious workout begins. Oh & I have to chew gum ( but please don’t tell Kelly because I know it’s not allowed in the gym)
